The difference between brow tint and brow dye
We get a lot of questions about the difference between brow tint and brow dye. Both brow styling techniques offer a range of benefits depending on what you would like your outcome to be. Discover the difference between brow tint and brow dye below.
What is brow tint?
Brow tint is the OG of brow styling. If you’ve been getting your brows done at Alison Jade, chances are you’ve had a brow tint before. Brow tint comes in a variety of shades and is designed to colour the hair, but not the skin beneath your hair. Tint washes gradually out of your brow hair and can last around 2 to 4 weeks. You may choose to tint your brows dark for a more dramatic look or opt for a lighter tint for a more natural look.
What is brow dye?
Brow dye is the latest option for colouring your brows. Brow dye lasts longer as it remains on the brow hairs for 4-6 weeks. It also slightly stains the skin to help “fill in the gaps” for a fuller looking brow. The stain on your skin can last up to 2 weeks. Similar to brow tint, you can choose a more dramatic brow dye effect or opt for a more natural finish.
So, which should I choose? Brow Tint or Brow Dye?
At the end of the day, if you are wanting a more subtle brow style opt for Brow Tint. However, if you prefer your brows filled in for more “depth” we would suggest trying Brow Dye.
During every brow style appointment at Alison Jade in Perth or Melbourne, your brows are manicured to perfection. This includes a colour and shape consultation, followed by waxing, tweezing, and trimming.
